I have been using AREDS 2 for a few months now and really like what they do for me. I have light colored eyes and have been looking for vitamins to help prepare me for macular degeneration which is in my family history. I had tried other preparations but the zinc content was too much for my system. I also had problems with eye pain from other formulas. This product also seems to have improved my vision with fewer floaters and general clarity. I have no problems taking the capsules and the price is excellent.
My optometrist recommended that I take AREDS 2 formula eye vitamins, but I discovered that the particular brand she suggested costs an arm and a leg. This brand has exactly the same ingredients, except for a lower amount of zinc, which some nutritionists consider prudent, and costs literally half as much. I have bought them several times and found the quality to be consistently good. The capsules are easy to swallow and have no undesirable smell, aftertaste. or aftereffects on my digestion. My doctor says my eyes have improved a bit -- which is the reason I'm taking these, after all! When you need to take a vitamin formula every day for years on end, any difference in cost adds up rapidly. I checked out their company's web site and they seem to be a trustworthy firm of health professionals. I'm glad to have found this brand!
AREDS 2 Eye Vitamins
These are the best and economica leye vegitative form of capsules available.
My Opthalmologist recommended AREDS2 for macular degeneration. I tried another brand but found this one to be a superior formula. It has the right amount of zinc (I’m a retired Chiropractor), a natural (not synthetic) form of vitamin E, and it’s reasonably priced. So I’m sticking with this one. If you’re using your computer/tablet/smartphone a lot, I would suggest wearing blue light blocker glasses to further protect your eyes from macular degeneration.
